Session Cookie

This website uses a single functional cookie — a PHP session cookie to manage your progress through the CAPTHCA game. This cookie is strictly necessary for the game to function. Without it the game cannot track which round you are on, whether you have passed or failed, or when your session began.

The session cookie contains only a randomly generated identifier. It does not contain personal information, browsing history, or any data that could identify you as an individual. It is not used for tracking across other websites and is not accessible to third parties.

The session cookie expires when you close your browser or when your session times out on the server, whichever comes first. You can also delete it at any time through your browser settings, though doing so will reset your progress through the game.

Session Data

During the game, the following information is stored temporarily in your server-side session:

The current round you are on. Which images and equation sets have been presented to you. Which squares you selected in each round. The timestamp of when your session began and whether certain disqualifying actions were taken during the test.

This data exists only for the duration of your session. It is not written to a permanent database, not linked to your identity, and not retained after your session ends. It is used solely to evaluate whether the game has been won or lost.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store your IP address beyond what our server logs automatically as part of normal HTTP/HTTPS request handling. We do not use analytics platforms such as Google Analytics. We do not use advertising networks. We do not use fingerprinting techniques. We do not set any cookies beyond the single session cookie described above.

Google Fonts

This website loads the Roboto typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, Google may log the request including your IP address and browser information. This is outside our control. If you wish to prevent these requests, you can use a browser extension that blocks third-party font loading. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Server Logs

Like all web servers, ours automatically records basic request information — including IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, and HTTP response codes — in standard server access logs. These logs are used for server maintenance and security purposes only. They are not analysed for marketing purposes and are not shared with third parties. Log retention follows standard server configuration and is typically short-term.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from humans under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your human child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have somehow collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
